ModSecurity is an Apache module or Web Application Level firewall which protects your website from various attacks. It is an application-level firewall that supports different servers. Like: Apache, Nginx, and IIS. It will work as an extra security layer. It monitors the real-time visitors of your website and ensures extra security of your website by blocking the malicious connections before it reaches the application. Most of the time it works very well with the website. But if the coding of the website is weak or in certain CMS, it can’t work with some website or functionality. In that case, you will get an error on your website. To fix the error you may have to disable ModSecurity.
